- Check that all heating system emergency switches are in the ON position.
- Press the RESET button on your heating system ONCE ONLY.

A: Yes. A yearly tune-up is essential to keep your boiler, furnace, or air conditioner working properly. During an annual tune-up your Nydam HVAC tech will perform a safety inspection and can identify any minor issues before they become major problems. Benefits of a tune-up include:
- Greater efficiency
- Lower energy bills
- Reduced risk of breakdowns
- Savings on unexpected repairs
A: There are two types of central heating systems: forced hot water (also known as a boiler) and forced hot air (also known as a furnace). The easiest way to tell which type you have is by the kind of heaters you have in your home. If you have vents, your home is heated by forced hot air or a furnace. If you have baseboard heat or radiators, your home is heated by forced hot water or a boiler.
A: Ductless mini-split units are made up of one outdoor unit and one or more indoor units affixed to interior walls of your home. Central air conditioning systems have one outdoor unit that disperses cool air throughout your home’s central duct system.
